The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance after a church in Fall Branch was vandalized.
Deputies responded today to Fall Branch United Methodist Church on Highway 93 after words were found in blue spray paint on the exterior walls and doors of the church.
The suspects also took an overhead light bulb and globe apart and broke the bulb. The globe was found in the church yard. A spotlight that points at the church was moved, but not broken. A piece of marble was found broken in half as well.
A church caretaker estimates the vandalism occurred between 8:00 PM Tuesday and 8:00 this morning. The church does not have any cameras.
Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call the Washington County Sheriff’s Office at 788-1414. Anonymous tips can also be sent by texting WCSOTN, followed by the crime tip information to 847411. Tips can also be submitted online at wsco.net.
