The Chuckey Utility District reported the theft of water on Tuesday.
Employees were working on water on Greystone Road and discovered that a meter had been taken out at an address in the 6000 block. A pipe with a cutoff had been put back in the meter’s place.
The district estimated that around $950 worth of water was stolen. The suspect was named in the report filed with the Greene County Sheriff’s Department.
