The Greene County Sheriff’s Office had to call for backup on Monday after trying to detain a man who was trespassing at a home in the South Greene area.
Deputies were called to a home for an unwanted person who was previously trespassed from the property. The suspect kept accusing one of the victims in the home of killing someone and putting their head in a plastic bag. He also stated that the person was a vampire, not a human, and that they were not in the right body.
According to the victim, she believed the suspect might have been overdosing on meth due to his actions. EMS was requested to the scene to check on the suspect but he reportedly refused treatment. The report said the man was carrying a crucifix and a bottle filled with what he thought was holy water, and he kept saying he didn’t want to die.
Deputies asked the man if he would ride with them to get checked at the hospital but he would not give a clear answer. When they tried to arrest him for criminal trespass he reportedly became agitated and began resisting. Deputies had to call for backup and when they deployed their tasers in an attempt to restrain the suspect, it had no affect on him. He allegedly became aggressive and lunged at deputies.
Finally, once backup arrived they were able to detain the man, although he continued resisting arrest and did not follow commands. He was taken to the hospital for treatment and was charged with Aggravated Assault, Simple Assault, Disorderly Conduct, and Trespass of Real Property.
