Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected again today, mainly during the afternoon and overnight period.
According to the National Weather Service, some of the storms could be strong to severe with damaging winds and hail as the main threats. A low-end tornado threat also exists north of Interstate 40 and 81.
Another round of more severe storms is increasingly likely late Wednesday afternoon through Wednesday night. With this round of storms, damaging winds and large hail will be the main threats. A few tornadoes are also possible, especially north and west of the Knoxville area.
With the continued repeated heavy rainfall, flooding will be possible into Thursday. Stay tuned to Radio Greeneville stations for weather updates.
