A Chuckey woman who said she paid $5,000 to a business in Elizabethton for work on her truck has still not received her vehicle after about two months and now can’t get a hold of the man who did the work.
The woman spoke with the Greene County Sheriff’s Office on Monday and said she contacted Millers Transmission and Exhaust and paid the alleged suspect $5,000 to replace the frame on her vehicle. The suspect, who was named in the report, allegedly went to the victim’s home in February to pick up the vehicle and took it to the shop in Elizabethton.
Throughout this time the woman states she tried to maintain contact with the business and was told the work was done but the victim has gone to the shop twice and both times the vehicle was not in sight. The suspect has reportedly been hard to get a hold of.
The car is a 2014 Toyota Tacoma, silver in color, with black fenders and a Tennessee license plate listed as 151BLCC.
