The Greene County School board will meet this afternoon at 4:30 PM and plan on recognizing students for recent accomplishments.
The Chuckey-Doak Middle and South Greene Middle School Scholars Bowl Team were co-season champions for the 2024 season and will get recognition during the meeting. The students, schools, and coaches are listed below.

Students who attended the Tennessee School Boards Association Student Congress on Policies in Education (SCOPE) will also be recognized during the meeting for serving with distinction as a delegate for the 2024 SCOPE conference. They were also recognized by TSBA.
Those students include:
Zack Barkley – West Greene High School
Madison Hensley – South Greene High School
Tavyn Southerland – Chuckey-Doak High School
Also on the agenda are presentations, policy revisions, a discussion on monthly reports from departments, field trips requests, and contracts to be approved like the Occupational Therapy Contract with Grace Rehabilitation Center, Inc. for 2024-2025.
The contracts are for Chuckey Elementary, Chuckey Doak Middle, Chuckey-Doak High, Mosheim Elementary, and McDonald Elementary School and provides services to qualifying students with disabilities.
The meeting will be held at the Greene Technology Center located on 1121 Hal Henard Road.
