A home on White House Road was damaged by fire that started in the kitchen areas Monday evening.
The Tusculum, Newmansville, and Mosheim Volunteer Fire Departments were called to the home just after 5:15 PM to the report of a stove on fire. Volunteer firefighters were able to quickly knock down the fire and checked to make sure it hadn’t spread through the walls or attic to other parts of the structure.
Also responding were the Greene County Sheriff’s Department, EMS, and the Greeneville Energy Authority.
