A tractor trailer was involved in a crash on Pottertown Road at West Andrew Johnson Highway Thursday afternoon.
At 4:00 PM Thursday, police were dispatched to the 300 block of Pottertown Road for a motor vehicle accident with injuries.
When officers arrived, the vehicle was a Kenworth semi and the driver was identifed as Cynthia Gaither. According to the preliminary report, the truck had left the right side of Pottertown Road, traveled north, and struck six trees, a ditch, three mailboxes, and a fence.
The driver reportedly told officers she had blacked out. Gaither complained of knee and head pain. She was transported to a hospital by EMS. Greene County Animal Control responded to the scene to hold her dog as she was bring transported to the hospital.
Cleanup and offloading of the cargo continued until after 10:00 Thursday night.
