A man was flown for medical treatment after he fell in Paint Creek Recreational Area on Monday.
Greeneville/Greene County EMS responded to the Dudley Falls area, also known as the swimming hole, to the report of a man who had fallen on the steps. He was not a swimmer and was not climbing the rocks in that area. However, he did reportedly lose consciousness and was flown to a regional hospital for treatment.
The South Greene Volunteer Fire Department established a landing zone for Highlands Air Rescue at the intersection of Rollins Chapel Road and the Asheville Highway around 11:00 AM.
