A Greeneville man was arrested Tuesday for reportedly resisting arrest and for a criminal violation of probation warrant near Chapel Street.
An officer was on routine patrol when he spotted a male running toward the basement of a home. The officer responded to the address due to the area reportedly being a known high crime area. A man in the home told the officer he was not sure who the suspect was.
The officer asked for all occupants in the basement to exit and the suspect identified as Dakota K. Ragan came out. Once he was made aware of his warrant he allegedly attempted to run again but was stopped by another officer and was placed on the ground. He was arrested and taken to the Greene County Jail.
