One driver was charged with leaving the scene of an accident Friday.
Around 8:00 PM Friday, officers responded to a wreck on East Andrew Johnson Highway at the Erwin Highway intersection. A Subaru Forester driven by Lisa Montgomery was struck in the rear by a Silver Honda sedan which then left the scene.
A witness of the crash, was able to follow the Honda to Ravonda Circle until officers arrived. The driver was identified as Wilmer Lopez-Ramos. Lopez-Ramos was charged with Leaving the Scene of an Accident Involving Injury, Following too Closely, as well as Drivers License Violations.
Montgomery was transported to a local hospital for injuries from the accident.
