A man and woman were arrested Monday night after they were found asleep in a vehicle and were reportedly half undressed.
According to the report, a deputy responded to drunkenness on Spider Stines Road due to someone being passed out on the side of the road. When the deputy arrived both suspects, Derrick Hale of Knoxville and Jodie A. Lamb Crum of Chuckey, were allegedly found asleep in the driver’s seat with the vehicle still running. Both were reportedly undressed from the waste down.
The deputy stated it was hard to wake Hale and Crum up and once they did they were disoriented as to their location. While they were getting dressed a large baggie was seen in the center console, believed to be Methamphetamine. There were two additional baggies found that allegedly contained a total of 31 grams.
According to the report, Hale and Crum did not want to answer questions at first but Crum did admit later that the meth was hers. Also located in her possession was Suboxone, syringes, plastic baggies used for resale, a scale, and a pill bottle containing 83 Gabapentin pills with someone else’s name on it.
Crum was arrested with Public Intoxication and drug related charges. Hale was charged with Public Intoxication and arrested for multiple active warrants in Greene County.
