A Midway man was reportedly swinging a knife around on Tuesday afternoon threatening to gut people with it on Culver Drive.
When the Greene County Sheriff’s Department arrived they spoke with multiple people who said the suspect Dustin Owen took off walking, he was later located on North Mohawk Road. Owen immediately put his hands up when he saw a deputy and told them he did not have the knife on him.
The deputy spoke with the victim who stated there was a verbal argument with Owen at a bus stop. The victim reportedly told the suspect to go home due to being intoxicated and that is when Owen allegedly brought out a knife and threatened to gut him. A witness also told the deputy the same information.
According to the report, Owen was only charged with Public Intoxication and Simple Possession of a Schedule III Drug due to the victim not pressing charges. The simple possession charge was due to Suboxone that was in his pocket.
