A Greeneville man had a gun pulled on him Monday afternoon and the suspect reportedly followed him until he got to the Greeneville Police Department.
According to the report, the victim went to the department to report aggravated assault after a man, Tad C. Laws of Greeneville, pulled up beside him at Arby’s and began yelling. The victim said when he left Arby’s the suspect followed him. Laws followed the victim through town while revving his motor and reportedly running red lights to keep up. At one point the victim slammed his breaks, Laws pulled up beside him and pointed the gun at him.
The victim was able to drive away and headed straight to the police department. Laws also followed him to the parking lot of the police department. When questioned Laws did admit to pointing the gun at the victim but claimed it was self defense because he slammed his breaks. The firearm was taken into possession and Laws was arrested for Aggravated Assault.
