A hospital patient was charged with public intoxication on Friday.
At around 10 p.m. Friday, Greeneville police responded to a report of drunkenness at Greeneville Community Hospital East.
Upon arrival, it was discovered that a patient at the hospital had left against medical advice and was trying to leave in an intoxicated state.
According to the report, a Greeneville Community Hospital East security guard told police that the suspect, Jody Paige was attempting to leave but could not find his car keys.
Paige performed poorly on all field sobriety tests and was charged with public intoxication.
