On Thursday around 4 PM the Greene County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for reportedly failing to use a turn signal. During the stop Deputy Stacey Lawing discovered over 400 pills of what is believed to be pressed Fentanyl, along with cash and 15.5 grams of Marijuana, according to the sheriff’s report. The driver was identified as 21-year-old Elijah Stoddard of Old Hall Rd in Chuckey.
A search warrant was conducted of Stoddard’s home. Inside deputies allegedly found more illegal drugs, almost 800 grams of Marijuana, and several guns.
Elijah Stoddard has been charged with the following according to a press release:
- Manufacture/Sell/Delivery/Possession of a Controlled Substance x 2
- Maintaining a Dwelling for Use/Sale of Controlled Substance
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Dangerous Felony
Stoddard was arrested and being held at the Greene County Detention Center under a $145,000 bond. His arraignment was set for this morning in Greene County Sessions Court.
