A Morristown man was arrested on Monday on Mason Street for criminal impersonation, resisting arrest, and drug charges.
According to the report, an officer was on patrol and saw James Abbott walking down Tusculum Boulevard, who was known to have a violation of probation in Greene County. When he was questioned about his identity he stated his last name was Williams.
The report said the officer exited his vehicle to speak with Abbott but the suspect then fled on foot and ignored the officer’s commands. After a short foot pursuit the suspect gave up and he was arrested.
During a search, in his front pocket a small bag containing a white crystal like substance believed to be Methamphetamine and a needle was located. He was transported to the Greene County Jail.
