A system moving across the region today has brought strong winds to the Tennessee mountains and adjacent foothills. A Wind Advisory will be in effect for Southeast Greene County until midnight tonight.
According to the National Weather Service, southeast winds of 15 to 25 mph, with gusts up to 40 mph are expected. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Use extra caution. Stay tuned to Radio Greeneville stations for weather updates.
