Several juveniles were found in a field after they jumped out of a Freewill Baptist van on Sunday.
According to the Greene County Sheriff’s report, deputies were responding to a runaway on the Erwin Highway after four teens on a van ride with Freewill Baptist jumped out at a stop sign near Chuckey Pike. The driver of the van pulled over to get the juveniles back in the van but they allegedly would not return.
Employees with Free Will Baptist Family Ministries were in vehicles searching for the juveniles along with several deputies. They were finally located in a field about two miles away from where they jumped out of the van. They were all transported back to Freewill Baptist and into the custody of the driver.
