A man was taken into custody after reportedly vandalizing property and acting in an erratic manner, according to the Greene County Sheriff’s Department.
The suspect was found Thursday afternoon in a field off Trails End Road after reports were received that the man had been running through a neighborhood, taking off his clothes and shooting a bow and arrow.
When deputies made contact with the man, he refused commands to lay on the ground and approached in an aggressive manner. A taser was deployed and struck the man in the chest, but he continued to refuse to comply. A second deployment of the taser allowed deputies to take the man into custody.
During the investigation, it was found that the suspect had ripped a woman’s mailbox from the ground and tore a flag off her porch. The man also hit a Ford SUV belonging to another man, causing about $2,500 damage to the vehicle.
The suspect was transported to the hospital for further evaluation, according to the report.
