A Greeneville man was arrested for evading police and an active warrant on Wednesday afternoon.
Officers were patrolling the area when they saw Brandon K. Effler and a woman walking toward Church Street. Effler reportedly had a violation of probation warrant on file with the Greene County Sheriff’s Department.
An attempt was made to detain the man but he allegedly fled on foot from officers. After a short pursuit, Effler was arrested, taken into custody, and transported to the Greene County Jail without incident.
