One was injured during a two-vehicle crash on Thursday night at the West Main Street and Pelican Lane intersection.
According to the Greeneville Police Department report, Tony L. Sheffey, driver of vehicle one, was allegedly driving under the influence and crossed the double yellow line. A second vehicle driven by Boone H. McCrary attempted to swerve to avoid getting hit by Sheffey but was unsuccessful.
A passenger in the second vehicle, Edward L. Ricker, was reportedly injured during the crash and advised he would be going to the hospital to get checked. Sheffey was arrested with multiple drug charges after a vehicle search was conducted and officers found Marijuana, a container with white residue, and several Xanax pills.
The report also states while Sheffey was at the Greene County Detention Center Suboxone and Alprazolam was found in his sock. He was additionally charged with reckless driving and driving under the influence.
