One person was flown from the scene of a two car accident Sunday morning around 3:45 AM.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol report, a vehicle driven by 29 year-old Vigneswaran Ganesan was reportedly traveling the wrong direction on the 11-E. Once Ganesan passed Rolling Hills Road he allegedly struck another vehicle head-on, which was driven by 26 year-old Samantha Tangman .
Tangman was injured during the accident and airlifted to the hospital. Ganesan was reportedly not injured and was charged with DUI, Vehicular Assault, and Violation of the Implied Consent Law.
Greeneville Emergency & Rescue Squad, EMS, Town of Mosheim VFD, Sheriff’s Deputies and Greeneville Police responded to the accident.
