An update has been provided on the road rage incident on February 3rd, 2024.
According to a Mosheim Police Department Press Release, a previous Mosheim Auxiliary Police Officer was believed to be involved in the road rage incident reported on Interstate 81 Saturday afternoon.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol was investigating an incident that occurred near Exit 23 in Greene County where shots were allegedly fired. The suspect was described as a white male with facial hair and multiple tattoos. This officer’s employment was separated on January 16th, 2024, according to the press release.
At the time of the alleged incident the person of interest in this investigation was not employed by or affiliated with the Mosheim Police Department. The investigation is ongoing and is being conducted by the Tennessee Highway Patrol. The person of interest identity will be released by the investigating agency when information allows.
