A man is facing charges after allegedly selling a stolen utility trailer.
A business owner told the Greene County Sheriff’s Department this week the suspect pulled onto his lot on December 20 and asked if wanted to purchase the trailer. The suspect said he had traded for it and the complainant then paid $2800 for the trailer.
The man said the suspect called him the next week asking him to buy something else and he told the suspect no. The complainant had a bill of sale and a copy of the suspects driver’s license at his business. Deputies showed showed the complainant a picture of the suspect and he was able to identify him.
The utility trailer was confirmed stolen out of Sullivan County. Central. The owner was identified and called to the scene to take possession of the trailer.
