There is a Wind Advisory in effect until 7 PM this evening for Southeast Greene County.
According to the National Weather Service, south winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts to around 50 mph are expected. Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
Another storm system will move across the Tennessee Valley and southern Appalachians this weekend bringing with it widespread rain and possible thunderstorms. Strong winds are also possible across the far east Tennessee mountains and foothills on Saturday.
Rain will change to snow across the higher elevations of the mountains for Sunday and Sunday Night with light accumulation across the higher terrain.
