An Afton woman was given several charges on Monday including identity theft and unlawful drug paraphernalia, after she was pulled over for a muffler law violation.
Officers were on patrol when they saw a vehicle with a loud muffler on Fairgrounds Road. A traffic stop was reportedly conducted after 9 PM and officers spoke with the driver who identified herself as Rebecca Russell.
Further investigation revealed the female was actually Regina Haney. She reportedly had two active warrants and was detained at that time. During a vehicle search, officers located a baggie with Meth residue, a glass pipe, and another item used to smoke the Meth.
Haney was arrested for her warrants and was additionally charged for not having insurance on the vehicle, driving on a revoked license, and for the muffler violation.
