A man involved in a vehicle accident Monday was later found by the Greeneville Police Department unconscious on the 100 block of Baileyton Road.
Officers were responding to the accident when they got a call that the vehicle was attempting to leave. About 25 feet down the road from the crash they found the driver, later identified as William Marshall of Greeneville, reportedly unconscious.
According to the report, Marshall was not waking up, had shallow breathing and blue lips. Eight milligrams of Narcan was given to him. Once EMS arrived on the scene they continued working on Marshall and he woke up. He was taken to the Greeneville Community Hospital East.
Marshall later spoke with officers and reportedly didn’t remember much. He stated he remembers leaving the gym, taking pain pills, and buying a bottle of Klonopin. He said he also remembers being on the side of the road where he said a male was yelling at him. A vehicle search was conducted resulting in officers believing Marshall was under the influence.
He was given charges including Driving Under the Influence, Leaving Scene of Accident Involving Damage, and Drug Violations.
