An Afton man reported to the Greene County Sheriff’s Department his vehicle was vandalized on Wednesday night.
The victim heard a noise outside his Chestnut Ridge Road residence around 11:15 PM and saw on his camera that someone was under his Dodge truck. The victim went outside to confront the suspect, but he ran from the property.
The video showed a man with a hacksaw getting out from under the truck. The suspect cut the vehicle’s exhaust pipe in half, possibly thinking it had a catalytic converter.
Damage was estimated at $250.
