The Greene County Regional Planning Commission met yesterday afternoon and heard from citizens regarding concerns on the A-1 General Agriculture District and uses permitted.
Resident Stephanie Hopson and Landscaper Brian Bradley spoke on zoning requirements for an RV Site, located on Woolsey College Road, and felt that some of the requirements were not being met. According to a document provided during the meeting, it states people were ambushed when the proposed RV site was approved as they were not given enough notice in advance. The RV Site was approved back in October.
Concerns provided during the meeting included buffer requirements, unsafe roads for RV travel, and the affect on farmland and animals. Hopson ultimately wanted to ask the Regional Planning Commission to not approve a variance requested by the developers. The planning commission did not address Hopson’s comments. County Attorney Roger Woolsey asked everyone to end all communication regarding the matter and end discussions with Hopson, as he stated she is currently involved in a lawsuit relating to the RV site that was approved.
