A Greeneville man was arrested in Texas and charged with murder, following an accident between two vehicles, according to a statement from the Weatherford Police Department in Texas.
Nicholas Dalton Kent, 43 of Whirlwind Road, was arrested on Friday. According to the Weatherford Police Department, at around 7:30 PM multiple calls were received regarding a vehicle accident on Interstate 20.
Officers arrived on scene and reportedly found a 44-year-old white male deceased and the suspect Kent. During the investigation, it was determined that there was a collision between two vehicles, one driven by Kent and another driven by the victim. Following the collision, an altercation ensued that allegedly resulted in the victim being shot and later pronounced dead at the scene.
Kent was held in Texas on a $250,000 Surety Bond. The investigation is still ongoing. More information will be provided as details become available.
