Items were reported stolen at a Dollar General self checkout on Friday.
A deputy with the Greene County Sheriff’s Department responded to the Dollar General on Erwin Highway near the 107 Cutoff around 2:30 PM. The suspect went through the self checkout, failed to scan several food items, and left without paying.
The suspect had previously been seen in the store, but employees were unsure of his name. A photo was provided to police from the security footage.
