A woman was arrested Tuesday after she was found in possession of 80 fentanyl pills.
A deputy with the Greene County Sheriff’s Department saw a vehicle speeding on Sand Bar Road around 1:30 PM. The car turned into a driveway on Chuckey Pike and the deputy initiated emergency lights. The suspect, identified as Katlyn Nycz of Little Chuckey Road, stepped out of the vehicle and an odor of marijuana was reportedly detected. Nycz appeared nervous and started reaching in her pockets. The deputy found a prescription bottle containing 46 pills with markings M30, known as pressed fentanyl. 32 more of the same pills were found in her sock in a plastic baggie. Two more pills were found in the driver door storage area in another plastic baggie.
Nycz was also found to have $317 in cash, which was placed into evidence for a drug forfeiture. She was taken into custody for the manufacture, delivery or sale of a controlled substance.
