Police stopped a vehicle for making an illegal turn Friday night.
Around 10:40 PM police observed a Saturn S-12 make an illegal U-turn at the West Andrew Johnson Highway and Baileyton Access. Officers spoke with the driver, John Wilcox. A records check showed Wilcox was convicted of driving on a suspended license in 2014.
It was also found that the number “24” had been cut out and placed over the “23” registration decal of his license plate, which had actually expired September of 2023.
Wilcox was placed under arrest for driving on a suspended license, 2nd offense, failure of the financial responsibility law, making an illegal turn, and removal of registration decal.
