Greeneville Police responded to reports of a male armed with a knife, threatening to kill people around 9:00 PM Friday.
Officers arrived at Aubrey’s restaurant on the West Andrew Johnson Highway Friday night, and made contact with the man, identified as Lonny Goad of Ocean Boulevard. Officers placed Goad in handcuffs and escorted him outside the building. According to the report, Goad was unsteady on his feet, had slurred speech, and appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. Witnesses reportedly told police Goad had presented a steak knife at two employees of the restaurant and threatened to kill them.
Goad was placed under arrest for two counts of aggravated assault and public intoxication.
