A suspicious person was reported on the 6200 block of Erwin Highway Wednesday around 2:30 PM.
According to the report, the suspect, later identified as Emily E. Howk of Greeneville, was seen walking in the middle of the road. Once deputies arrived and spoke with her they stated she didn’t know where she was or where she was going and reportedly did not make sense.
After attempting to search the suspect she reached into her pants back pocket, and a bag fell on the ground that allegedly contained Methamphetamine. Deputies stated Howk began resisting arrest and pulling away while she was being placed in handcuffs.
She was charged with Manufacture, Delivery, Sale or Possession of Methamphetamine, Public Intoxication, and Resisting Stop, Frisk, Halt, Arrest or Search.
