A Greeneville man was arrested Wednesday after it was reported he was asking people for money and said he was wanted by police.
Officers responded to the O K Tobacco Outlet on 1720 East Andrew Johnson Highway and saw the suspect, James McCoy, in a truck moving something as they approached. McCoy got out the vehicle and gave consent for officers to search but he was seen concealing an object in his hand.
McCoy was concealing a glass pipe with residue in his hand and during the vehicle search, a crystal like substance believed to be Methamphetamine was found. He admitted to smoking Meth earlier that morning. Sobriety tests were conducted and McCoy reportedly showed signs of impairment. He was arrested with driving under the influence second offense and unlawful drug paraphernalia.
