A Telford man was arrested during a traffic stop on Wednesday morning on West Andrew Johnson Highway for altering his license plate.
A deputy with the Greene County Sheriff’s Department noticed a Nissan truck in front of him change lanes twice around 11:30 AM. The driver, later identfied as Brandon McKee of Glaze Road, appeared to not want the patrol car behind him.
The deputy ran the tag displayed on the truck, which came back to the correct vehicle, but the registration expired in May 2023. A traffic stop was conducted and McKee had reportedly just been cited for the expired registration in November.
The tag had a sticker with an expiration date of October 2024. The tag number on the sticker was ran and came back to a different vehicle.
McKee was taken into custody for alteration of the license plate and was issued a citation again for expired registration.
