A home at 924 Hartman Lane was damaged by fire on Thursday afternoon.
The Greene County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene around 12:45 PM. The owner said he was outside and noticed smoke coming from the side of his house. After turning the breaker off, he got a water hose and started spraying the side of the home.
The Greeneville and Orebank fire departments responded to the scene and determined the fire started at an electrical outlet in a bedroom. Minimal damage was reported to the home.
