Charges are pending for two drivers involved in crash on I-81, where two semi-trucks collided on Sunday evening .
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol report, a 2024 semi from Florida was traveling North on Interstate 81 at the same time as a 2009 semi from Texas was traveling North on I-81. Both were reportedly driving in the same lane. The first semi swerved to miss the second and in the process struck it on the left rear side.
The THP report does not state an exact location of the crash but does state both units were disabled and both lanes were blocked after the accident. The driver from Florida was injured during the accident, the second driver was not. Both have charges pending.
