A High Wind Warning remains in effect until 4 PM this afternoon. A Red Flag warning is in effect until noon on Wednesday.
According to the Emergency Management Agency, gusty south to southeast winds will continue across the mountains of East Tennessee through this morning, then will gradually diminish this afternoon. The winds will be very strong in some of the normal downslope areas of the higher elevations and foothills.
The EMA Office says with the recent dry conditions, these winds may cause extreme fire behavior and allow fires to spread rapidly. DO NOT BURN – Burn restrictions remain in effect until November 24th as of today for Greene County.
Remember to use caution when driving on slick roads, there is a 100% chance of rain today.
