Habitat for Humanity on 2460 West Andrew Johnson Highway was broken into sometime over night Sunday.
The complainant reported the break in on Monday morning. When the Greeneville Police Department arrived they found a back door that was pried open, a register that was destroyed with the funds taken out, and an alarm was ripped from the wall. Funds taken from the register totaled about $475.
Funds were also reportedly stolen out of the Supervisors’ desk draw. The exact amount stolen was unknown at the time of the report as well as the suspects involved.
