A Tellico Plains man was arrested in Greene County Friday night after he was found passed out in his vehicle in the middle of the roadway.
The Greene County Sheriff’s Department responded to the 8200 block of McDonald Road around 10:15 PM and found Tyler Bowers passed out in the vehicle. Bowers was woken up and had an odor of alcohol on his person. He performed poorly on a field sobriety test and reportedly admitted to drinking and smoking. A baggie containing marijuana was found on his person.
Bowers was taken into custody for DUI 2nd offense and simple possession of a schedule 6 drug.
