Former Greene County Commissioner Jack Renner passed away late last week at the age of 90.
In addition to being active in local Republican Party politics, Renner was director of Greene County Farmers Mutual Insurance Company for 44 years. He also served as secretary-treasurer and later as company president.
Renner was a member of the Warrensburg Masonic Lodge No. 631 for over 50 years, a member of the Knoxville Scottish Rite, a member of the Kerbela Shrine Temple, and was a 32nd degree mason. He also helped coordinate the annual local community Shrine paper sale and was a member of the Warrensburg Ruritan Club.
Graveside services for Jack Renner will be held Friday at 3:30 PM in the Jarnagin Cemetery in Morristown. There will be no formal visitation. Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
