Saturday morning police responded to a call of a person passed out in a vehicle on the Asheville Highway.
The complainant called to report a man passed out in a white Jeep Compass in the parking lot of Hardee’s on the Asheville Highway.
Officers arrived and identified the male as William Wilson of Johnson City. According to the report, Wilson had pinpoint pupils and bloodshot eyes, and was holding a napkin with fresh blood marks.
Wilson was asked by officers if they could search the vehicle and his person for illegal drugs, and he denied. Wilson performed poorly on requested Sobriety Tests, and a K-9 officer was requested.
Wilson was placed under arrest for DUI, and afterward allegedly stated that there were drugs in the car door. A search was conducted and officers located a small baggie containing a brown powder substance believed to be heroin, several pills believed to be clonazepam, a baggie with a crystal-like substance, a set of scales, and several syringes.
Wilson was additionally charged with Possession of Schedule 1 and Schedule 4 Drugs, Possession of Meth, Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia, and parking in a handicap spot.
