A Chuckey man reported his title loan was fraudulently increased.
The man told the Greeneville Police Department this week that he recently got a loan through Titlemax and had withdrawn money from the loan two times. However, he began to notice that his limit for the loan increased along with his monthly payments.
The victim called TitleMax and they sent his account information, showing there had been multiple withdrawals the victim did not make.
According to the report, it appeared as though someone hacked the victim’s account. The amount of money withdrawn from the account totaled nearly $6,800.
