A suspicious package reported Saturday at 1510 East Andrew Johnson Highway was determined to be nonhazardous.
The Greeneville Police Department responded at approximately 10 AM to CVS Pharmacy and were escorted to a storage room where the small package was. It reportedly had a steady beeping noise. Officers secured the CVS parking lot and evacuated the area.
The Greeneville / Greene County Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) unit was activated and responded to the scene. The officers through their investigation determined the package to be nonhazardous.
All Greeneville Police Department officers left the scene after the investigation was complete and business at CVS resumed as usual, according to the Greeneville Police Department.
