Charges are pending for a woman who was found passed out in a bathroom at the Greeneville Community Hospital on Tusculum Boulevard Wednesday.
The Greeneville Police Department responded to the hospital around 1:30 AM on the report of possible drugs. When they arrived they spoke with someone who stated a woman was found passed out with 2 flush syringes, 1 of which were attached to her PICC line, a tube used to access larger veins near the heart.
A cut straw was also found along with other items that were placed into evidence. Officers spoke with the woman who stated she mixes up her medication when really sick and shoots it through the PICC line. Drug/Narcotic Violation charges are pending, according to the report.
