The Town of Greeneville’s fall leaf collection begins today. The Public Works Department will collect leaves that are raked to the edge of the property and not into streets. Leaves in the street can clog storm drains or cause safety hazards for drivers.
The town reminds residents that the piles cannot contain limbs or other debris, only leaves. The leaf vacuum should run by your residence once every 2-3 weeks. Bagged leaves will be picked up first. You can call Public Works at 638-6152 Option 6 to schedule a pickup, which should be collected on the same or following business day. Anyone wanting bagged leaves for composting may also contact Public Works at that same number.
While the leaf collection continues, limited bursh and limb pickup will be curtailed to a limited basis for the remainder of the year.
