A North Carolina man was arrested as a fugitive from justice by Greeneville police early this morning.
Officers went to a residence in Haney Park around 2:00 this morning and found 35-year-old Sedrick Edwards of Asheville, who had an active warrant for violating the sex offender registry. According to the North Carolina Sex Offender database, Edwards was convicted in 2017 of taking indecent liberties with an eight-year-old minor.
Edwards was taken into custody with help from the Greene County Sheriff’s Department, and faces full extradition to North Carolina.
